Seattle-based startup Augmodo has successfully closed a $21 million funding round, boosting its valuation to $350 million. The Smartbadge itself has evolved considerably, transforming into what Finman describes as an “everything device.” Beyond its original inventory tracking capabilities, it now incorporates features such as walkie-talkie functionality, an opt-in panic button, and a digital ID display. This multi-functional design has become a major selling point, consolidating multiple device needs into a single wearable solution.

Over the past year, Augmodo has experienced remarkable growth, achieving a 10x increase in revenue. The company currently maps over 186 million square feet of retail space monthly and anticipates expanding that figure to more than 1 billion square feet per month by year-end. Its client base is growing rapidly, adding 50 to 100 new store locations each month.

Augmodo's team has also expanded fivefold in the last year, now comprising over 50 employees.
